Che cos'è un parser XML expat?

Expat è un parser XML specifico. Il parser HTML ordinario di Mozilla cerca semplicemente di ottenere il meglio da ciò che viene dato, mentre un vero parser XML è molto meno clemente, come descritto in quella pagina.
