Come faccio a impostare uno sfondo desktop animato senza OnyX?

In OnyX, c'è un'impostazione in Parametri > Generale > Sfondo animato del desktop: dove è possibile impostare sfondi animati. Anche se questo non sembra funzionare molto bene (spostandosi tra gli spazi visualizza brevemente il vecchio sfondo ecc.) E non si verifica il riavvio, mi chiedo come si comporta OnyX.

Esiste qualche impostazione nascosta in cui è possibile eseguire questa operazione senza OnyX?

Da notare che la mia domanda non riguarda come impostare le GIF come sfondi (anche se forse questo è ciò che fa OnyX?).

Sì, questo può essere fatto senza OnyX.

First head to System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver and select one of the screen savers included in OS X, or a third party screen saver that you’ve previously installed. Whichever one you choose, just make sure it’s selected as the active screen saver, even if you have it set to never start in the “Start After” duration drop-down menu.

Next, launch Terminal (located in the Applications > Utilities folder), copy and paste the following command, and press the Return key on your keyboard to execute it:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background
