Quando apro i file .avi, voglio aprirli con VLC Media player, quando clicco con il pulsante destro del mouse, vedo questo:

Dopo averlo modificato, ogni apertura di .avi viene aperta da VLC, tuttavia, quando riavvio il mio Mac, il valore predefinito torna a QuickTime ... come impedirlo e mantenere VLC come predefinito.
Lo stavo facendo nel modo sbagliato come se avessi provato per molto tempo e mi sono anche ritirato a usare RCDefaultApp in passato ... ma in realtà c'è un modo per farlo in modo nativo che funzioni.
Effettua quanto segue:
1) right click your file
2) choose "Get Info"
3) in the popup find the "Open with" strip (this is by default closed) and open it
4) from the drop down choose the program you want to open that type of file
5) click "Change all..."
