Questo Ticket riguardante la Boost Open Source License v1.0 elenca 4 cose diverse che rendono questa licenza diversa dalla licenza MIT.

Due di questi hanno a che fare con le garanzie. Se utilizzi una libreria con licenza BSL, dovrai scrivere la tua dichiarazione di non responsabilità dichiarando di non essere responsabile se il software si trasforma in un mostro a tre teste e fa cose cattive ai tuoi clienti. La dichiarazione di non responsabilità della garanzia non è estesa ai licenziatari. Il vantaggio è che puoi anche applicare la tua garanzia a pagamento se lo desideri, se desideri fornirne uno.

Uno di questi ha a che fare con l'avviso sul copyright. Hai ragione che non è necessario che sia incluso nei binari.

L'ultimo chiarisce che le licenze possono essere rilasciate a individui o organizzazioni.
