Così googles "Update Channel" e trovo questo apparentemente articolo MSDN antiquato che ha un po 'confuso di ASP.NET preelaborato nell'articolo per darti la sensazione che entrambi non dovresti usare questa tecnologia e non avresti mai dovuto usare questa tecnologia.

Significa che sei sul canale delle versioni stabili, non riceverai alcun aggiornamento beta.
