Il modo migliore per isolare il problema della connessione Internet di iMac in un piccolo ufficio?

Gestisco un piccolo ufficio con 7 mac e 1 PC. Un iMac 2010 in aprticular ha problemi di connettività Internet in corso in cui dice che è connesso (tramite Network Diagnostics) ma si spegne di nuovo in modo intermittente (tutti gli altri computer mantengono la connettività di rete senza problemi). Il computer è collegato via ethernet a 10ft dal router. A volte ho il login in modalità wireless e il problema scompare quindi torna di nuovo

  1. Qual è il miglior flusso di lavoro da eseguire per isolare questo fastidioso problema? Non sono in questo posto tutto il giorno e si verifica quando non sono di solito lì. La mia preoccupazione è che potrebbe essere la scheda Ethernet che potrebbe essere difficile da isolare.
  2. Ci sono test particolari che posso eseguire per isolare dove lungo il computer al percorso di rete, il problema si sta verificando?
  3. Devo prima cambiare il cavo Ethernet? Credo di averlo già fatto questa macchina ...
  4. La diagnostica di rete è affidabile?
  5. Dovrei solo provare a eseguire il ping di Google dalla riga di comando?
  6. Dovrei guardare il Pannello Preferenze di sistema e cerca l'IP autogestito o cerca un Lease IP dal router?

Aggiorna Ecco alcune voci di console.log. Il problema di connettività dell'app store si è verificato quando stavo cercando di scaricare Mountain Lion per aggiornare la macchina ed è la prova del problema ricorrente. La connettività internet scompare. Ero lì oggi quando è successo ma era così intermittente

Escludere un cavo o una porta errati è un ottimo primo passo. Un cattivo cavo o una cattiva porta dello switch è almeno altrettanto probabile di una cattiva porta ethernet su iMac. Vorrei iniziare scambiando la porta del cavo e per quelli noti. Scambia il cavo e la porta con un computer che non sei sicuro di dimostrare il problema. Annota ciò che hai fatto e quando lo hai fatto, per riferimento futuro.

Se quel computer sviluppa un problema simile e l'iMac va bene, allora sai che è la porta dello switch o il cavo. Spostare il cavo noto bene nella porta sospetta. Se il cavo è danneggiato, tagliarlo a metà in modo che nessuno tenti di usarlo di nuovo. Se la porta è cattiva, bloccala con qualcosa - come la coda tagliata di un cavo cattivo.

Dopo aver verificato il cavo e la porta dello switch, puoi tornare a sospettare la porta ethernet di iMac. Forse comprate un adattatore Ethernet USB economico e lo sostituite con iMac? Se questo risolve il problema, allora sai che era la porta ethernet. In caso contrario, è probabilmente qualcosa nella configurazione del software.

Questa è una rete wireless o cablata? A volte se si dispone di una rete cablata e il dispositivo wireless è acceso e associato, interromperà il routing. In generale si desidera scegliere l'uno o l'altro. Quindi, se sei collegato, disattiva il dispositivo wireless.

Altrimenti, la rete diag è abbastanza affidabile e il ping di google (o qualsiasi altro sito internet) è buono.
