In caso contrario, che senso ha dover eseguire Mac OS X in un hardware Apple, quando l'hardware Apple esegue già Mac OS X.

Tuttavia, Apple ha storicamente persone non perseguite che violano questo per scopi di hobby, e hanno seguito solo persone che vendono sistemi preinstallati (come Psystar) o hanno pubblicato guide pratiche che implicano il download di versioni pirata / pre-modificate.
