L'unità apfs esterna corrotta (crittografata) su High Sierra

Ho problemi ad accedere ai dati sul mio disco USB esterno chiamato G-DRIVE USB - semplicemente non si monta. Ho il prompt per sbloccare, cosa che faccio, ma non fa nulla.

DiskUtility non si apre quando questa unità è connessa - mostra "loading disk" e non fa nulla.

Finora ho provato ad accedere ai dati manualmente usando i seguenti comandi del terminale:

Utilizzi un adattatore per collegare G-Drive a MacBook Pro? Questa pagina di supporto afferma che il disco rigido portatile USB 3.0 G-DRIVE G-Tech non è compatibile con l'adattatore Multiport digitale AV USB-C o l'adattatore multiporta VGA USB-C:
