Per qualche ragione, il mio MacBook continua a tentare di caricare il collegamento USB Type-C ("USB-C") del mio display esterno anche se ho una sorgente più potente collegata.
Mi interessa perché il monitor non è in grado di fornire i 45 W che segnala, e dopo alcuni secondi il sistema passa all'alimentazione a batteria, quindi torna immediatamente all'alimentazione CA, più e più volte. Ciò ha l'effetto di accendere e spegnere lo schermo e causare l'interruzione momentanea delle interazioni tra mouse e tastiera con i miei schermi rimanenti. Nel complesso, rende l'installazione inutile.
Ecco cosa dice pmset -g ac sul monitor quando è il dispositivo solo connesso:
# pmset -g ac
Wattage = 45W
Current = 2250mA
Voltage = 20000mV
e lo stesso per quando la mia fonte di alimentazione è l'unica connessa:
# pmset -g ac
Wattage = 60W
Current = 3000mA
Voltage = 20000mV
Quando sono entrambi connessi, segnala 45 W come se il monitor fosse l'unico dispositivo.
Registro che mostra il ciclo infinito. Inizialmente sono davvero a batteria, quindi collego il monitor che attiva il primo Now drawing from 'AC Power' , tutto il resto accade da solo dopo:
# pmset -g pslog

Quindi: Posso forzare il caricamento del mio MacBook solo dal dispositivo che seleziono? O proibiscilo di caricare da dispositivi che so essere inaffidabili?
