Mac Pro (2013) si blocca molto dall'aggiornamento da Mavericks (ora su High Sierra)

Ho un Mac Pro. Dal momento che l'aggiornamento dai Mavericks originali si blocca - molto. Il modo in cui il Mac si blocca varia con ogni nuovo aggiornamento di OS X e attualmente sono su High Sierra ma sospetto che sia caduto nel temuto problema di richiamo della scheda grafica, ma non posso provarlo e il richiamo si applica solo alle due varianti più grandi di la grafica.

Se qualcuno può racimolare qualsiasi informazione dal log qui sotto sarei davvero grato o se altri avessero avuto esperienza che sarebbe stato utile conoscere anche.

Che cosa intendi per MacOS si blocca? Come nella macchina si spegne automaticamente senza una ragione apparente? Il sistema operativo si blocca o diventa quasi inutilizzabile e devi scollegarlo? Se MacOS si spegne da solo mentre stai facendo qualcosa, potrebbe essere un problema con la PSU e probabilmente non può essere risolto con software a meno che tu non voglia riavviare Windows, sottotitolare o underclockare il processore con XTU o qualcosa del genere e tornare a MacOS e vedere se il problema se n'è andato. Se è il secondo, i tuoi fan potrebbero non funzionare correttamente e la CPU sta semplicemente eseguendo una procedura fallback e limitando la sua velocità di clock a qualche punto meno di mezzo GHz. Entrambe le opzioni dovrebbero essere risolte in un Apple Store vicino a te, a meno che tu non stia usando Mac Pro da 5 anni.

Ho il sospetto che tu abbia la GPU D300. Il blocco della GUI è un problema noto per Mac Pro (2013) con questa GPU - almeno nella comunità (vedere questo Thread del forum MacRumors ). Apple non lo ha mai riconosciuto ed è molto difficile da riprodurre.

È fondamentalmente un problema hardware che si verifica soprattutto quando si esegue la decodifica video hardware o la grafica 3D.

Quando si esegue Windows, c'è un breve blackout ma il sistema non si blocca. Nelle versioni più recenti di macOS, la GUI si blocca.

Da macOS 10.13.4, a volte ci sono almeno dei registri di panico e Crash Reporter consente di inviarli ad Apple. Speriamo che diano un'occhiata e correggano il loro autista.

Cosa puoi fare una volta bloccata la tua GUI:

  • Connettiti al tuo Mac usando SSH (deve essere impostato in anticipo) e riavvialo in questo modo
  • Utilizzo della combinazione di tasti Control–Command–Media Eject per riavviare il Mac in modo più o meno elegante (come documentato qui )
  • Tieni premuto il pulsante di accensione (come fai tu) per forzare l'arresto del sistema
