Impossibile eliminare la directory macports come root

Ho abilitato l'utente root nel mio Mac usando l'ultimo Mojave. Sto cercando di eliminare una cartella con esso ma per qualche motivo ottengo l'errore "Autorizzazione negata". Pensavo che root potesse fare qualsiasi cosa su un sistema unix?
