Sto pensando di migrare da maOS Server a un server RADIUS opensource dedicato. Nella loro Guida alla migrazione dei servizi Apple afferma quanto segue:
"Converting to the open source version allows continued authentication for all current users with password type RECOVERABLE. New users won’t be able to use FreeRADIUS."
Che cosa significa? Attualmente sto usando Open Directory per l'autenticazione e ho impostato tutti i miei account.
Più avanti c'è un altro passaggio dedicato alla gestione degli utenti:
Adding a user to freeRadius: Add new users of the radius service through the Server.app. This will require that the user’s password be stored in a less secure manner.
Ciò significa che dovrei aggiungere nuovi utenti tramite il servizio Open Directory in Server App. In che modo è diverso dalle impostazioni correnti?
